Studio Policies
Please read all policies carefully before booking your appointment. By scheduling with me, you agree to the following terms.
Age Requirements
- All clients must be 18 years of age or older. No exceptions — not even with parental consent.
- A valid, government-issued photo ID (driver's license, passport, or state ID) is required at every appointment.
- Anyone who cannot provide valid ID will not be tattooed and will forfeit their deposit.
Booking & Deposits
- A non-refundable deposit is required to secure all appointments. The deposit amount will be communicated at the time of booking and goes toward the final cost of your tattoo.
- Deposits are forfeited if you cancel with less than 48 hours' notice, no-show, or fail to reschedule within a reasonable timeframe.
- Walk-ins are welcome based on availability, but appointments are always prioritized.
Cancellations & Rescheduling
- Please notify me at least 48 hours in advance if you need to reschedule.
- One reschedule per deposit is allowed. Additional rescheduling requires a new deposit.
- Repeated cancellations may result in being asked to pay in full before future bookings.
- No-shows forfeit their deposit entirely and will be required to leave a new, larger deposit to rebook.
Health & Safety
Your health and safety — and mine — are the top priority.
- Do not come to your appointment if you are sick, have an active cold, flu, COVID-19 symptoms, or any contagious illness. Please reschedule; your deposit will be honored.
- Inform me of any medical conditions that may affect tattooing, including but not limited to: diabetes, bleeding disorders, heart conditions, autoimmune diseases, latex allergies, skin conditions (eczema, psoriasis), herpes, or current medications (especially blood thinners or immunosuppressants).
- Clients who are pregnant or nursing will not be tattooed.
- I reserve the right to refuse service to any client whose health or condition may pose a risk.
Informed Consent
Prior to your appointment, you will be required to sign an Informed Consent Form that covers:
- A description of the procedure and aftercare instructions
- Acknowledgment that tattoos are permanent
- A disclosure that tattoo inks and pigments are not FDA-approved
- A health questionnaire confirming you are fit to receive a tattoo
This is required by California's Safe Body Art Act and cannot be waived.
Preparing for Your Appointment
To ensure the best possible experience and results:
- Eat a full meal within 2 hours of your appointment. Low blood sugar can cause lightheadedness or fainting.
- Stay hydrated — drink plenty of water the day before and day of.
- Avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours before your session. Alcohol thins the blood and affects healing.
- Wear comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the area being tattooed.
- Do not apply lotion, sunscreen, or numbing cream to the area unless I have specifically instructed you to.
- Get a good night's sleep before your session.
Pricing
- Pricing is based on size, placement, complexity, and time. A custom quote will be provided during your consultation or via DM before booking.
- Hourly rates apply for larger or more complex pieces.
- Cash, Venmo, and Zelle are accepted. Card payments may incur a small processing fee.
- All quotes are estimates. Final pricing is confirmed at the time of your appointment.
Design & Custom Work
- All custom designs are created after your deposit is received.
- Designs are shared 24–48 hours before your appointment — not before, to protect my artwork.
- Minor revisions are included. Major redesigns or repeated changes may require an additional design fee.
- I retain full artistic ownership of all designs. Designs are not shared with clients prior to the appointment for use elsewhere.
- I do not copy another artist's work. I am happy to use reference images for style inspiration but will create an original design.
Touch-Ups
- One free touch-up is offered within 3 months of your appointment, provided proper aftercare was followed.
- Touch-ups are not covered if the tattoo was damaged due to sun exposure, picking, improper healing, or failure to follow aftercare instructions.
- Touch-ups must be scheduled and are subject to availability.
Conduct & Right to Refuse Service
I am committed to maintaining a safe, professional, and respectful environment.
- Harassment, aggression, or disrespectful behavior toward me or anyone in the studio will result in immediate termination of the session without refund.
- I reserve the right to refuse service to anyone, at any time, for any reason — including but not limited to intoxication, health concerns, or requested subject matter that conflicts with my values as an artist.
- The studio is a professional space. Please limit guests; additional visitors may be asked to wait outside.
Aftercare
Proper aftercare is your responsibility and critical to the quality of your healed tattoo. Detailed aftercare instructions will be provided after your session. General guidelines include:
- Keep the tattoo clean and moisturized
- Avoid direct sun exposure on the fresh tattoo
- Do not submerge in pools, oceans, or hot tubs for at least 2–3 weeks
- Do not pick or scratch the healing tattoo
- Contact me immediately if you notice signs of infection
By booking an appointment, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to all policies listed above. Thank you for respecting my time and craft — I can't wait to create something amazing with you.
